President Javier Milei formalised, through an act, the denomination of the former Palacio de Correos as ‘Palacio Libertad Centro Cultural Domingo Faustino Sarmiento’.
Through DNU 897-2024, the national government made official last Thursday that the former Post Office Palace be declared a National Historic Monument, and be named ‘Palacio Libertad, Centro Cultural Domingo Faustino Sarmiento’.
The measure was taken in the framework of the inauguration of the former president Domingo Faustino Sarmiento on October 12, 1868, and through the decree, the citizenship is called to commemorate this anniversary with the aim of recognising the deeds of the heroes of the country to achieve freedom.
