President Alberto Fernández met with Philipp Schindler, Global Chief Business Officer for Google, at the Casa Rosada on Friday, with whom he discussed the work of the company in Argentina over the last 12 years, with projects focused on digital skills, support for SMEs and infrastructure.
Fernández proposed to Schindler that Google join the government's new programme to redirect investment in state advertising towards educational content. He also highlighted the possibility that an entire library can be stored on a cellphone, as well as celebrating Google's gender initiatives.
Also present at the meeting were Gustavo Béliz, Secretary for Strategic Affairs; Fernando Peirano, of the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Promotion; and Pablo Beramendi, Google General Manager.
